Friday, October 27, 2017

10:30 AM to 1:00 PM

Boulder Center for Conscious Community (BC3)

1637 28th Street Boulder CO 80301

“Sex as a safe adventure: connecting sexually and emotionally through EFT.”

Do your couples present with complaints of sexual issues, such as:

  • Discrepancies in desire
  • Boredom in the bedroom
  • Discovery of out of control sexual behaviors
  • Arousal or orgasmic problems
  • Sexual challenges after having children
  • Trouble after infidelity or in the wake of trauma

This seminar is designed to help you start couple therapy on a strong foundation when these issues are the presenting problem to couple therapy.  Introduction to up to date research on current models of sexuality will be presented.  We will discuss assessment of both the negative relational cycle and the sexual cycle so you can skillfully work using EFT interventions with both cycles to help couple move to de-escalation. This seminar will also address how to integrate psycho-education and simple behavioral sex therapy interventions as couple begins to move into Stage 2, while at the same time to continue building secure bond through increased vulnerability.  Video segments will be used to demonstrate this work.

More Safety at Last: A Demonstration Of How EFFT Heals A Traumatized Family

This training will offer consultation to clinicians bringing assorted clinical questions but we will also take a good portion of the training to present a specific case.  With clips to demonstrate, you will journey with a couple in EFT therapy. In the middle of the treatment, the couple discover a dissociated trauma in the pursuer's history (Rachael) that was dysregulating the marriage and family. Rachael’s uncontrollable rage destabilized the withdrawer (Richard) and rippled down to the three home schooled children.  With this discovery, finally, some of the puzzle was solved.
